Introduction to Management

We have devised a level 3 Marine Introductory Certificate in First Line Management course. Taught sessions are held every other week (6 taught sessions) spread over 12 weeks. Maximum number of 10 people per course.

Course covers:

  • Identifying self development needs
  • Problem solving skills
  • Planning change
  • Understanding your marketing strengths and weaknesses
  • Decision making tools
  • Giving & receiving feedback
  • Supporting individuals in your team, from induction through to personal development plans
  • Coaching, Developing and Motivating your team
  • Understanding costs and managing budgets
The course involves a commitment of attending 6 one-day workshops, running every fortnight. Learners will complete a final work-based project and segment reviews which is assessed to enable you to achieve the qualification.

As part of the package the candidate will also received 2 'coaching' sessions in their workplace.

The course is suitable for practicing or potential managers who have had little or no formal management training.

CMN has funding to enable costs to be greatly reduced.
