Support for Unemployed Young People

We are currently running a project where we are working with unemployed young people between the ages on 16-18 years who are looking to enter the marine sector.

Working with various sailing schools around Cornwall we are able to offer young people the opportunity of vocational training and learn how to become Assistant Sailing Instructors.

Also, during the 18 week programme a range of additional support will be offered such as CV writing, applying for jobs and interview skills, all helping build the Learner's confidence and aimed at helping the Learner into employment of any description.

During their learning they may be eligible to claim Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and reasonable travelling expenses.

Through our member links and connections, we aim to help the learners gain employment.

For more details please contact: Paul, Dawn or Anne-Marie.
