Our company, based in Penryn, is offering an opportunity for a 16/17/18 year old to join us to learn business administration. We offer training via in-house mentoring and a national apprenticeship scheme and are seeking a motivated and committed young person to join our company and progress. Duties would include reception, telephone, goods inwards, electronic filing, and general administrative tasks. Experience is not necessary, but basic IT skills, loads of enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn is! Mylor Yacht Harbour are looking to recruit a marine engineer to join their well established Marine Trak side of the business.
The successful candidate will be trained to a high level in marine engineering and have at least three years recent experience working as a marine engineer including fault finding, repairs, refits and general service work.
You will be expected to work on your own initiative, and in enclosed spaces on the boats. Being a team player is also essential.
The hours will be 0830 - 1700 Monday to Friday with some overtime when required.

Bennett Boatyard requires two people to work in our busy boatyard on Bryher in the Isles of Scilly.
Tasks include preparing boats for season's use and launching and delivering them around the islands, boat hire demonstrations for small motor and sailing boats and general yard work.
Suits young, energetic people with good people skills. Experience of small motor and sailing boats required. RYA Powerboat level I and II needed (can be arranged if not already completed).

...to join our team supporting Cornwall Marine Network's award winning skills model supporting training within the workplace.
The role will involve visiting learners in the workplace and assessing/tutoring them in their NVQ qualifications and ensuring the successful outcome of the NVQ in line with awarding body requirements, supporting learners with the course content and assessment, liaising with the course manager and internal verifier to ensure that all the learners needs are met.
The successful candidates will hold the A1/A2 Assessor Award (or equivalent), with experience in delivering NVQs, be highly organised, excellent communication skills are essential to support and motivate NVQ Level 2 & 3 candidates.
Must be a car owner/driver and flexible to travel.
We are also interested to hear from experienced assessors in; Marine Engineering, Performing Manufacturing Operations, Fabrication and Welding, and Performing Engineering Operations.
