Cornwall Marine Network

Positions Wanted

Joe Avery, MSc Graduate seeking employment in the Marine Sector

Having recently returned from a marine ecology survey project overseas, I am now looking for fulltime work in the marine sector in Cornwall.
I have an MSc in Marine Renewable Energy from Plymouth University and a BSc in Marine Geography from Cardiff University. Both degrees made extensive use of hydrographic surveying, and I have experience in deploying various acoustics instruments from small research vessels.
I am extremely keen to pursue a permanent career as a hydrographic surveyor, however I am adaptable and able to apply myself to any role in the marine sector. As it shows on my CV, I have worked for the RNLI in North Cornwall for the past 4 years. I currently live near Padstow but am easily able to relocate if necessary. Please find my CV attached for your reference.

Mael Garrec - seeking project management role

My previous activities included writing a 90-page strategic action plan looking at the feasibility of energy efficiency and sustainable development projects in the harbours of Truro and Penryn; drafting the 250M€ bid for the UniverSEAtech maritime university project in Brittany; organising an international experts conference and writing experiments reports on oil spill response for two European projects for Falmouth Harbour Commissioners.
