Swathe Services announces new agreement for representation of R2SONIC in the UK

As part of its ongoing expansion, Swathe Services (UK) has recently signed an agreement with R2SONIC (USA) to represent them as sales agents supplying the innovative SONIC2022 and SONIC 2024 in the UK. The SONIC2022 and 2024 are the worlds’ first true wideband high resolution shallow water multibeam echosounders, with proven results and unmatched performance.

main_swatheservices2James Williams, Managing Director of Swathe Services, recognised the value of this innovative system at an early stage and has already generated strong interest from some major UK marine survey companies. “We organised trials and demonstrations earlier this year and received a very positive response from those who attended. I am delighted that R2SONIC recognises our commitment to their products and that they have chosen to work with Swathe Services to drive their sales forward within the UK. We already have the first system available in the UK for rental and demand for this has far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to a successful future with R2SONIC".

The R2SONIC has impressed customers with its flexibility as a survey tool in comparison to other commercially available multibeam systems. Its frequency and swathe agility, simplicity of operation, reliability and high quality data output combines to produce an outstanding system that has led to significant sales over five continents since its launch in 2008. As testimony to its impressive performance some customers are even trading in their current fully functional multibeam systems from competing manufacturers in order to purchase the SONIC2024.

R2SONIC is a dynamic company constantly looking to improve and develop their products and since the launch of the SONIC systems, they have introduced more groundbreaking innovations with the development of Swath Sector Rotation (SSR TM).

SSR provides the added ability to change the opening angle and to rotate the concentrated beams to either port or starboard within a 160 degree sector–using the same mouse cursor. Changes made to the swath sector parameters are instantaneous with no data gaps resulting in no loss of survey data.

Swathe Services will be organising demonstrations of the system later this year in the UK,details of which will be shown on our new website www.swathe-services.com.

The SONIC2024 is available to rent from Swathe Services and can be supplied with an experienced multibeam specialist.
More information on the system can be found at www.swathe-services.com and you can call James Williams on 01752 842293 or email james.williams@swathe-services.com to confirm availability for rentals or to arrange to attend a demonstration.
