IT will be all hands on deck when the Cornish Boatshow drops anchor at Falmouth’s Events Square.
For the second year running a flotilla of marine businesses will be showcasing their nautical designs and services against the stunning backdrop of the world’s third largest deep-water harbour. S
ailing clothing and information on watersports instruction will also be up for grabs along with food stalls and a vibrant arts and crafts market. And visitors can expect a lively atmosphere with the event - from June 18 to 20 - being run alongside the Sea Shanty Festival.
Rick Stein’s new fish and chips restaurant will be an added draw to this year’s show and a Skinners beer tent will be serving refreshments to the crowds.
The Cornish Boatshow is being organised with the support of Cornwall Marine Network and will be a chance to meet leading sector businesses such as Red Ensign, Challenger Marine, Cornish Crabber, Mylor Sailing and Elemental UK.
John Langan, chairman of Cornwall Marine Network and owner of Challenger Marine, said: “This is a great initiative and is a reminder of the wealth of Cornish marine businesses that we have here. It is also a chance for visitors to meet the key people behind the businesses, understand their products and learn more about their designs and services.”
The show will run from 10am-5pm from the Friday to Sunday. Some exhibitor pitches are still available to marine businesses, both in the marine marquee and outdoors, from £50 for the three days.
