Cockwell's Duchy 27
Cockwells boat builder is recruiting extra staff following a successful showing at the London Boat Show last month.
The Mylor business received two orders for its Duchy 27 motorboat, valued in excess of £300k.
Managing Director Dave Cockwell commented: "The sales reflect a growing confidence in the leisure market which is great for all of us.
"I believe, as an industry we need to build ourselves out of the recession with high quality products and a friendly and efficient service."
As a result of the purchases the company is now looking to recruit two new experienced shipwrights.
Meanwhile, Cornish Crabbers is pleased to announce that its order book is now well into June of this year. A very successful London Boat Show means there will be quite a few more of the Rock boatyard's boats about in 2012 and beyond.
In particular, its new Crabber 12 has generated a lot of interest and Cornish Crabbers' initial £1000 discount for the first ten boats has now closed. However, it is opening a new deal for the RYA Dinghy show at Alexandra Palace in London - a special price of £5495 until the close of the show on 4th March.
