Cornwall Marine Network has launched a fantastic new series of watersports videos showcasing the County as a top marine leisure destination.

The five dynamic videos beautifully capture the range of exhilarating activities that can be enjoyed out on the water, amid the backdrop of Cornwall's stunning 433miles of coastline.

Focusing on Surfing, Kayaking, Sailing, Windsurfing and Coasteering, they demonstrate why Cornwall is such a paradise for watersports devotees. Watch them on www.cornwallmarine.com

Experts and local legends in their sports describe why surfing, paddling and sailing in Cornwall is in their blood and, for them, is the best place in the world to practice your techniques, hone your skills and just enjoy being out on the water.

CMN Marketing Manager Tim Bowerbank said: "We are very proud of how these videos promote the fantastic watersports opportunities provided by Cornwall's marine leisure businesses. I'm positive anyone watching them will feel inspired to get out and have fun on, in or under the water."

The marine leisure industry is worth some £295million a year to the Cornish economy, with its wide choice of watersports centres providing quality tuition and equipment for all ages and abilities.

The videos highlight the diverse range of activities which provide something for everyone, whether a complete beginner dipping their toes in for the first time, or an extreme sports enthusiast embracing the powerful swells delivered by the Atlantic's low pressure systems.

Cornwall Marine Network (CMN) commissioned these videos through funding from an EU project called Nautisme Espace Atlantique (NEA2). The project brings together 23 partners from five countries bordering the Atlantic's 25,000km of coastline. It is part-financed by the European Development Fund from the Interreg IVb Transnational Cooperation Atlantic Area Fund, Cornwall Council, CoaST and CMN. Its aims are for the sustainable development and growth of the marine leisure sector in the Atlantic area. Partners work together to share best practice, support innovation and market the marine leisure sector to the world.
