If you are considering a career in Marine img_3835Engineering and want to gain practical, hands-on skills whilst gaining qualifications, then call Dave Wickes at Cornwall Marine Academy NOW!


img_3856The next Cornwall Marine Academy Introduction to Marine Engineering course will be running from January 2015 in Falmouth and lasts for 18 weeks, 2 days a week initially, with an optional extension*.

 

On the course, you will work towards:

  • NVQ Diploma in Performance Engineering Operations (Level 1 & 2)
  • Award in Engineering & Manufacturing (Level 1)
  • Functional Skills in English & Maths (Level 1)

       
The course is a mixture of practical workshop-based marine engineering activities, some classroom based study and physical activities such as Watersports to help you increase personal and social skills that will help you when applying for jobs.

* If after 18 weeks, you’re not in a work placement or Apprenticeship, we have an option to extend the course to offer additional support

Our FREE vocational courses are offered to young people in Cornwall who are not in employment, education or training and focus on creating career pathways into securing work or Apprenticeships.

 

CMA’s dedicated staff and training centres are on hand to offer guidance on future opportunities and are fully equipped to deliver fun, exciting, and vocational training courses designed to help build the best career paths for young people across Cornwall.

 

This course is available to young people across Cornwall. You may also be able to get help with travel costs.
