If you
are currently
aged 16 to 19 and unemployed/not in education and don't have a
clear idea of what to do next, then our Pathways to Apprenticeship scheme could
be for you. Cornwall Marine Academy has partnered up with 3 other
training organisations to offer young people more opportunities to get into an
apprenticeship.
Phase 1
You will spend 16 weeks (2 days per week) training with 4 quality providers up-skilling yourself and working towards qualifications:
Phase 2
You will spend 8 weeks (2 days per week) in a work placement with a selected employer (could be Marine, IT, Outdoor Activity, or Environment sector business). This will then hopefully lead onto employment or an apprenticeship.
Whilst on the programme you will be entitled to a £20 per week training allowance and transport to all venues is provided or subsidised.
Cornwall Marine Academy is looking for young people from right across Cornwall to take part in this programme.
